It provides individual soldiers with a compact explosive weapon for close combat, trench clearing, defensive fighting, and assaults against enemy positions.

The grenade is commonly carried by riflemen, squad leaders, and other infantry personnel as part of their standard combat load.

----

Design
The G-25 is a simple fragmentation grenade built around a timed fuse and metal fragmentation body. Its design emphasizes reliability, ease of manufacture, and rugged battlefield handling.

The weapon is intended to be simple enough for mass production while remaining effective in close-range infantry combat.

----

Role
The G-25 is used for:

* Trench clearing
* Fighting positions
* Defensive perimeter actions
* Room and bunker entry
* Suppression of exposed or lightly protected infantry

It serves as the standard personal explosive weapon of Gondaran line infantry.

----

Infantry Issue
Within Mobile Infantry units, the G-25 is normally carried as part of the individual rifleman loadout.

A standard line rifleman carries:

* 3× G-25 Fragmentation Grenades

This provides each rifleman with limited close-range explosive capability without assigning squad-level grenade launcher ammunition to every soldier.

----

Logistics
The G-25 is treated as an individual-issue explosive item rather than a crew-served ammunition type.

Item
Weight
Unit Cost
Notes
G-25 Fragmentation Grenade
1 lb
$4
Standard individual fragmentation grenade
Standard rifleman load, 3 grenades
3 lb
$12
Carried on web gear or grenade pouches

----

Limitations
The G-25 is limited by its hand-thrown range and requires the soldier to be close to the target area. It is not a substitute for the GL-34 "Problem Solver", mortars, or heavier infantry support weapons.

----

Summary
The G-25 Fragmentation Grenade is a simple, rugged, and widely issued infantry explosive. It gives Gondaran soldiers close-range offensive and defensive capability while remaining easy to manufacture, transport, and account for in unit-level logistics.

----

See Also
* R-20 Service Rifle
* GL-34 "Problem Solver"
* Mobile Infantry
