The Founding & Covenant period represents the formative era of Gondaran civilization and the creation of the modern Republic. It encompasses the final centuries of colonial settlement, the rise of the Great Swarm crisis, the Unification movement, the War of Independence, and the establishment of the institutions that continue to govern Gondara.

The era is remembered not merely as a sequence of historical events, but as the period during which the foundational principles of Gondaran society were established. Concepts such as burden, service, covenant, guardianship, citizenship, and national duty all trace their modern forms to this period.
