A Line Infantry Company is the standard company-level formation of Gondaran Mobile Infantry (Line Infantry). It is a motorized defensive unit built to arrive behind assault forces, dismount in organized order, establish immediate security, and entrench for sustained holding operations.

A standard Line Infantry Company consists of:

Company Headquarters

The Company Headquarters is the command and control element of the company. It directs the movement, deployment, and defensive coordination of the three Line Platoons and the Heavy Weapons Platoon. It also maintains communications with higher command, controls the company scout element, and provides immediate medical support.

Company Headquarters Personnel

The Company Headquarters consists of 12 men:

  • Company Commander (O-3)
  • Executive Officer (O-2)
  • First Sergeant (E-7)
  • 2 × Radio Operators

Company Headquarters Transport

The Company Headquarters is assigned:

  • 1 × CT-32 6×6 2.5-ton 12-man transport
  • 1 × UV-32 Mule

The CT-32 serves as the primary command transport for the company headquarters staff.

The UV-32 Mule is assigned to the scout team for forward movement, short-range reconnaissance, message relay, and rapid repositioning.

Line Platoons

The company fields 3 × Line Platoons.

These are the primary rifle elements of the company and form the main body used to occupy, entrench, and hold ground.

The internal structure of the Line Platoon is defined on its own page and is not repeated here.

Line Platoon Transport

Each Line Platoon is assigned:

  • 3 × CT-32 6×6 2.5-ton 12-man transports
  • 1 × UV-32 Mule

For all three Line Platoons combined, this gives:

  • 9 × CT-32
  • 3 × UV-32 Mule

Heavy Weapons Platoon

The Heavy Weapons Platoon is the company’s centralized fire-support element. It provides immediate overwatch during deployment, sustained medium machine-gun fire, and short-range indirect fire once the company is in position.

It consists of:

  • Platoon Headquarters
  • 4 × 62.5mm Mortar Teams
  • 4 × VMG-33 Medium Machine Gun Teams
  • 1 × Support Mule

Heavy Weapons Platoon Headquarters

The Heavy Weapons Platoon Headquarters controls the platoon’s support weapons, coordinates emplacement, assigns sectors, and manages movement between firing positions.

It is assigned:

  • 1 × UV-32 Mule

62.5mm Mortar Teams

The platoon fields:

  • 4 × 62.5mm Mortar Teams

Each mortar team is a 4-man team.

This gives a mortar section strength of:

  • 16 men
  • 4 × 62.5mm mortars

62.5mm Mortar Team Transport

The mortar teams are moved by:

  • 2 × CT-32 6×6 2.5-ton 12-man transports

Each CT-32 carries:

  • 2 × 62.5mm mortar teams
  • mortar tubes
  • baseplates
  • initial ammunition load
  • associated section equipment

VMG-33 Medium Machine Gun Teams

The platoon fields:

  • 4 × VMG-33 Medium Machine Gun Teams

Each VMG team is a 4-man team:

  • Gunner
  • Assistant Gunner
  • Ammunition Bearer
  • Mule Handler

This gives the VMG section a strength of:

  • 16 men
  • 4 × VMG-33 medium machine guns

VMG-33 Team Transport

Each VMG-33 team is assigned:

  • 1 × UV-32 Mule fitted with the UMGM (Universal Machine Gun Mount)

This gives the VMG section:

  • 4 × UV-32 Mule

During convoy movement, the VMG-33 remains mounted on the Mule and provides en route security, ambush response, and immediate covering fire.

Upon reaching the objective, the team is expected to execute a 1-minute basic fire-position drill. This establishes immediate overwatch while the rest of the company dismounts, spreads out, and begins digging fighting positions.

Once the company’s permanent defensive line is established, the VMG teams shift into their final dug-in firing positions.

Heavy Weapons Platoon Support Mule

The platoon also includes:

  • 1 × UV-32 Mule

This vehicle is used for:

  • ammunition movement
  • local support hauling
  • short-range repositioning
